I Love Fridays :)

Hooray, the weekends here again. Can't wait to get off work and head home. It has been a pretty darn busy day for me, but then again, everyday is a pretty darn busy day for me ... hehehe ... The rain finally came yesterday and doused the blistering heat we've been having :) Even today's a pretty cool day. Hope it stays like that over the weekend. Speaking of weekends, I'm just gonna laze around at home with my precious other half and see what we can tinker with around the house. We've been redecorating the house the past two months, started out with repainting the living and hall area, drilling some shelfs on the walls and refurbishing some old ancient cabinets to give it new life and so far, its been going well. We're supposed to do the kitchen and bedroom but haven't really found the time for it yet. Still lots of preparations to do in the kitchen before we can actually paint the place. Hopefully, before the end of April, we'll get things done :) The best part about doing all this is that we enjoy doing it together :) Makes everything all that much more fun. Happy weekend people!

Not A Great Day ...

The day so far has not been a good one. I've been feeling kinda low today, and the worse thing is I don't really know the reason why. Somethings bugging me but for the life of me I can't really seem to figure out what it is. I sure do hope it passes soon cos I hate feeling this way. My other half's a little moody too, hopefully I didn't do anything to piss her off or something. All that, together with my work commitments doesn't really help my mood at all. On top of that the weather is still its blistering self. Hasn't rained in nearly a week. Gee, today just seems like complain day for me ... hehehe ... well, it's my blog so I can't write whatever I want :) Here's to a better second half of the day.

Can It Get Any Hotter?

Phew, it's blazing hot out there today! Just stepping outside the office for a few seconds is enough to dehydrate you. But for someone like me, who's into client servicing, staying in the office is not an option. Besides, I hate sitting still in the office and staring at four walls all day, so I'll just have to pray for some rain. What I'd really like to pray for is some snow :) I've never ever experienced snow (not unless you count putting your head in the freezer) in my entire life and I would really love to experience it at least once in my life time. The country I live in, Malaysia, is basically hot all year round, it does have its monsoon seasons and such but that's about it. Hot, hot, hot all year round. All those TV shows I watch about winter and stuff sure makes me wish we had snow here. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to be able to travel somewhere and feel what winter and snow is like :) But until then, I'll just bake here in this heat!

Busy, Busy, Busy ...

It's been ages since I last wrote anything here and well, nothing really much has happened since then. Work has kept me busy for the most part of last week. Besides that I'm just plain lazy to log on and update my blog. Mostly I get home from work, have dinner and watch some TV with my sweetheart, then it's off to bed we go :) Life so far is pretty okay. Formula 1 is back so at least that's something. The next race is in Sepang, Malaysia where I live. I'll catch it live on TV as usual though I sure would love to head down to the tracks at Sepang and see it with my own eyes but alas, the price of tickets are way beyond my means :( I'm a McLaren fan by the way and my sweethearts a Ferrari fan so you can picture us lugging it out on race day ... hehehe ... Well, I'm gonna head off for lunch now. If I'm not my lazy self, I'll write a few words over the weekend. Only 5 hours or so to go till work ends :)

My Reign As A Chef Ends :(

Well, my experiment with trying to stir-fry pork didn't turn out too well. Managed to actually burn the damn things. Tasted like cowhide, boy was it bad :( I'll just leave the cooking to people who knows how to cook (get the hint honey .. wink,wink ... hehehe) It's been a practically blistering day today, hope for some rain later tonite or even tomorrow. Didn't do much today except repaint my old black TV cabinet to a new shade of glossy white. Gave the cabinet a brand new character. I just simply love doing stuff like this. Tomorrow's Monday and I've got loads of work stuff waiting for me at the office. Well, at least it'll make the day go faster :)

The Chef Is In The House.

Being alone is making do crazy stuff. I'm actually gonna try and stir fry some pork later tonite. It's something my sweetheart does best but since she's not around I'm gonna try and reproduce what she cooks myself. Trust me when I say I can even spoil frying eggs ... hehehe ... I've already marinated the pork with ginger paste and some herbs and stuff and left it to sit in the fridge for a couple of hours, then put on my chef's hat and see if I can do as decent a job as she can, but I seriously don't think so. To me, she's the world's greatest cook, my growing waist line can testify to that ... let you guys know how it turned out tomorrow :)

Attention - The Genius At Work!

Guess what, today is the first day I actually used the washing machine at home and did my own laundry (normally my beloved would do it for me .. hehehe). It really seemed like a daunting task, I mean hey, how many men know how to use washing machines, right? But after some fidgeting with it, I actually got the damn thing to work .. genius, eh:) Well, Honey, you'd better get back home soon, cos genius or not, I'd rather leave this complicated task for you to handle, besides, you're pretty good at it ... hehehe... Well, with that out of the way, I'm kinda free all day today. Really have no idea what I'm gonna do. One things for sure, I ain't gonna be glued to the net cos I seriously could find better things to do than let my life depend upon the internet (no offense to those who do). Maybe I'll go wash and mess around with my car, now that's an idea:)

Phew, haven't really had any time to post anything the past week or so. Been pretty tied up with my work projects. Finally managed to get some time on my hands to type a few words. Life's been pretty dull the past week. Lots of disappointments, Arsenal totally not having any chance for any trophies this season :( To say I'm not bothered by it would be a lie, but I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles. Weather has been terribly scorching the past few days. It finally rained cats and dogs today but doesn't look like it helped much to cool things down. Here I am sweating away typing this (I'm one of those people too poor to have air conditioning). Definitely gonna take a bath after posting this, read a little, just got this Robert Ludlum book (first time reading his stuff) hopefully its good, then catch some sleep cos tomorrow I'm gonna be doing some handy work around the house and surprise my sweetheart when she gets back (she's away for some work business). God, I miss her!!! Well, that's all from me for today. Will (if I'm up to it) write more tomorrow. Happy weekend people :)

Bittersweet!

Howdy people. Been a pretty bittersweet weekend for me. Bitter cos I had to fork out lots of money to fix my car. The blooming clutch plate gave gave way on Friday :( Sweet cos it was the weekend :) Didn't really do much this weekend except mess around with my tools fixing up some stuff around the house. Mind you, I'm no handyman, I could screw up fixing a light bulb but of late, I've been doing some research and am getting much better at this handyman stuff. The love of my life (who used to have completely NO faith whatsoever in my abilities) thinks I'm not doing too badly with with this handyman stuff nowadays :) That's a plus in my books :) Well, I'm off to start my workday for the week, here's hoping it's a good one.
