At last it's final, Thierry Henry has left the Gunners and it's a sad day for many Arsenal fans. But to me, the club is always bigger than the man. I know this is not the end of Arsenal as many people are probably saying out there. I've been a fan of Arsenal for close to 33 years, ever since I was captivated by the symbol of the cannon they used on their logo. I've been with them through thick and thin.Yes, no denying the fact that Henry is a great player, in fact he is one of my favourite Arsenal players (only second to the all time great Dennis Bergkamp & Tony Adams) but his departure by no means signal the end of Arsenal. It might be difficult initially but with the host of young and emerging talents in the Arsenal youth stable, we will still be out there fighting for trophies. Just mark my words :) Look at Man U and Liverpool, though they've lost some great players through the years, they're always out there fighting for championships after championships (you may notice I failed to mention those Chelsea dogs ... hehehe)
Players come, players go but the club will always remain and the essence of the club is its fans. So, here's to Arsenal winning the treble next season (gotta be confident la .. hehehe) As the famous Malay proverb says 'patah tumbuh, hilang berganti', loosely translated, 'once broken considered sold' (no, no, just kidding ... hehehe). It really means 'a broken branch will regrow' (or as close to that as I can make it out in English)
