Sunday ... Whopppeee ... Yawwwnnn ...

As much as I love the weekends, Sunday is my least favourite day. And it's not because of the fact that I have to go back to work tomorrow. It's just that Sundays tend to get very boring for wifey and me. There really is nothing much to do around the house on Sundays. We don't have any chores to do, we don't have any laundry to do and we can't even watch TV cos the kids own the TV in the morning with their cartoons and whatnots.

A typical Sunday for me begins with having to wake up early to get the kids ready for Sunday school. After sending them for their classes, both wifey and me head for breakfast and then to the nearby hypermarket just to buy time until the boys finish their classes. And even then, sometimes the classes don't finish on time. A one hour class turns out to be one and a half hours. I wonder what they teach them there? It's not like they're in training to be priests or anything.

So we wait in the car with the engine running and polluting the environment for close to half an hour until they're done. We could always just go in and sit in the church waiting area but I'm allergic to pretentiously religious people who act so righteous (LOL!) and there's quite a few I know there who are exactly like that. Anyways, after picking up the boys, we head to our favourite hypermarket to do our weekly shopping and then it's time to head back home.

That's where the boredom really starts. By the time we put away all the groceries, wifey and me both have absolutely nothing to do. As much as we both adore each other (urmmm, you do adore me, don't you, honey? LOL), we see each other everyday and I think she's probably heard all my tall tales a million times already. Not that I tell any tall tales mind you! Well, maybe a few ... LOL! And in the end we'll both just end up taking a nap which makes the boys happy cos they can be up to mischief downstairs.

There really must be something fun to do on Sundays. I suppose we could go shopping, maybe watch a movie or stuff like that but all those things involve money and I don't exactly have tons of it, as much as I wish I did. We could always blog but then wifey and me have this policy that unless we need to post something urgently like maybe explaining about diet pills or something, then we strictly stay away from blogging on weekends. So that doesn't leave us with much else to do.

What do you guys normally do on Sundays? I'd really like to know. Is your Sunday routine the same as mine or do you guys have some fun activity that I'm missing out on? Come on, don't be selfish, share some ideas with me ... hehehe ... Anyways, hope you guys have been having a great weekend. Now it's time to go bug wifey and tell her one of my usual tall tales about the time I saved the world from impeding doom ... LOL!

  3. Going to the gym is a must, the rest of the day's activities depends on what's going on... if there's a sale, perhaps shopping, or maybe just hanging out with friends, and err... the internet

  10. I'm surprised you dislike Sundays. I love my Sundays. Can wake up late, can just laze around in the house.

I don't have a fixed routine on Sundays. Sometimes I go for early morning dim sum, sometimes I go for jogging in the parks. Other times, I may watch some movies, go shopping, visit friends, etc.

I guess it's different for you maybe because you are married with kids? LOL!

  11. As for me, I don't like to go out on Sundays, except when needed. It's the day I fully recharge myself for the coming week. But back in the Ph, I'd go to church and then visit my sister's family.
