World's Shortest Essay ...

I read this in cbenc12's blog. And with her kind permission, I just had to post it here :)

This is a story of a 16 year old boy from New Hampshire who won the World's Shortest Essay competition. He was awarded a Scholarship at the University of Harvard for his incredible imagination and humour ....

Here's how he earned it:
An English university's creative writing class was asked to write a concise essay containing the following elements:
  • Religion
  • Royalty
  • Sex
  • Mystery
And here is his prize winning essay:

'My God,' said the Queen, 'I'm pregnant. I wonder who the father is.'

  1. That's a really good essay.
I must admit I cant even write that using the 4 elements :)

  2. yeah, I'd have never thot of writing an essay like that even if I sat there for hours thinking what to write ...

  3. he forgot the question mark!
    xxx Kaetie

  4. Howdy, thanx for the visit but correct me if I'm wrong. I think it was more of a statement than a question.

  5. Hello, Nick. Was just browsing through blogs and came across yours and I must say you do have some great postings. Loved this worlds shortest essay posting! Keep up the good work ...
