The Fish That Slipped On A Crib ...

I just finished watching one of my favourite TV series, The Ghost Whisperer about an hour or so ago, well, by the time I actually finish this post, it would be even more than an hour. When I first saw that series I never did like it, it took a while for me to get hooked to it and after watching last nights episode, let me tell you, I'm getting even more hooked on it that I can't wait for the next episode ... LOL.

This evening wifey, the kids and myself went out for dinner at our favourite neighbourhood mall and also to do a little grocery shopping. As usual, we'll have our dinner first at the food court before we head to the hypermarket section. The boys and wifey had their usual favourites for dinner. I was getting a little bored of the same old food they served there. But today must have been my lucky day cos they had a new food stall offering grilled Portuguese fare, mostly seafood.

Since I was feeling adventurous, I decided to try it out. I really wasn't sure if it was going to turn out okay or not, but I'm always game to try new things these days. So, I ordered this dish called Grilled Dory in Portuguese herbs, the picture looked good in the menu, though I have no idea what herbs they were gonna splatter it with. It took about 5 minutes before the dish was ready and though the portion was a little small, I must say it was simply excellent! The herbs were just out of this world (even though it looks like puke in the picture below ... LOL). Even wifey thought it tasted good. I know I'm gonna try out their other menu the next time I'm there.

After that almost satisfactory meal (like I said the portions were a little small), we went and did some grocery shopping and also looking out for some Christmas decor at the same time. We found quite a few stuff but refrained from buying them cos we wanted to check out what they have at Ikea, Jusco and Metrojaya cos I think they have even better stuff there. we still have a lot of things to do for Christmas and so little time ... sigghhhh ... While shopping I saw this pair of Crocs slip ons that I've always wanted. My existing slippers were ready to fall apart any minute. I've had that pair of slippers for close to 7 years or so, can you believe that? It's one of those cheap RM9.90 Power slippers and we've gone a long way together ... LOL!

But recently I've come to just adore those Crocs slip ons but I wasn't going to part my hard earned cash for the real deal. You know how much those things cost? So, instead, I saw this pair that were going for only RM13.90, of cos it wasn't the real deal la, but it looked cool and it was so blooming cheap so I got it. Wifey thought I looked like a clown in it but she sportingly helped me pick a pair. And she even named it Frocks, a combination of Fake and Crocs ... LOL! So, what do you think? Looks good for mere RM13.90 doesn't it? And check out those legs ... LOL! I'm just not used to walking it in yet, gonna need a little time to break it in.

So, after all the shopping we headed home cos I wanted to watch Ghost Whisperer and when I walked in, there on the cabinet was this Christmas crib made by my mom. Drats, I said. I was actually thinking of getting one that wifey and me saw in this mall near our place. But now I'm in two minds about getting it cos it's such a quaint looking little crib made with real dried leaves for the roof and twigs for the insides and all. It was done with a personal touch that it wouldn't be too kind of me to go and buy another one ... sighhhh ... But it does look good that wifey suggested I modify it by adding a small light in it. I'm going to do just that but I still want my bigger crib! Oh well, take a look at the pictures of the crib below and tell me should I or should I not buy a new one.

  6. I think your mum's so talented to make a crib like that!

Ghost Whisperer is my son's fav show. It's on every Friday night but I alway miss it cos that's my night out. My son thinks it's such a big waste for me to miss the show...

I'm sure the fish tasted good. When I was in KL this year, I had wanted to try the grilled portugese seafood too but we didn't get to try. I'll be back in Jan next year for a marathon. I'll make sure I try! You wanna join? It's the great eastern run.

If I'm fit enough to run, I'll take part but judging from my fitness level at the moment and with no time to train much because of the Christmas season, I'd be lucky if I could complete one kilometre ... LOL!

The next time you're here, make sure you try it, it taste really good.

  17. Hi! Hubby loves "Ghost whisperer". I don't like it so much though, I find too many clichés and somehow I have the impression that Jeniffer Lovehewitt's main concern is to show her big breasts wearing all sorts of lingerie especially gowns and pijamas...She always has to visit houses with spirits and ghosts at night and when it is raining. And it reminds me of that movie...sixth sense: "I can talk to the dead"... :) Sorry, it is my first comment on your blog which I find very nice but I thought of what I truly think about that series :)

If you wish to visit my blog: www.ladelirante.blogspot.com

    Have a nice day,

  24. Hi La Delirante - welcome to my blog. I just had to laugh at your statement - somehow I have the impression that Jeniffer Love Hewitt's main concern is to show her big breasts wearing all sorts of lingerie especially gowns and pajamas.... Actually you're right on that count but I'm just hooked to the show and it's not cos of those gowns and pajamas! LOL!

I welcome honest opinions, they're the best kind. Hoping to see more comments from you here. Will drop by your blog soon.
