AnythingGoes.com

I've posted about this topic before and I'm going to post about it again. I've been blogging for close to 2 years now, well, 1 year and 10 months to be specific but hey, who's counting :D What started out as something of an experiment has taken up a huge chunk of my life.

It opened up a whole new world to me. I got to know a whole load of great bloggers with some incredible blogs. Not forgetting that's it's also made me quite a sum of money as well :D And recently, I've been thinking of whether I would like to take my blogging to a whole new dimension and get my own domain.

I've also seen a lot of bloggers switching to their own host recently and I'm seriously tempted to jump on the band wagon. But there are so many questions that I need answered with certainty before I even contemplate in making the move to my own domain.

I've had some nasty experiences in the past relating to web hosting with my office and it's kinda like left a little, well a big scar on me. The amount of downtime my office hosting company had it drove me up the wall. Looking for a web hosting company, a reliable one anyway is not at all easy. That really has been the main factor that has kept me from getting my own domain.

I mean, I wouldn't want people unable to access my blog cos the hosting company I choose is crappy, right? I've had incidences when I couldn't access certain blogs that were hosted by certain hosting companies and I got frustrated and just gave up. I wouldn't want something like that happening to me.

But if one day I pick up enough courage to want to have my own domain and I need to find a reliable hosting company, I guess I'll just head to WebHostingGeeks.com. They provide independent reviews of all the best web hosting providers out there. And making a decision using WebHostingGeeks.com is as simple as a,b,c.

Their home page alone lists the top 10 web hosting companies by their current rank and ratings. The list is updated frequently and the inputs and reviews are from actual customers and also review experts. And with one glance, you're able to see all the features available for a particular hosting plan with reviews and feedback from a host of customers and webmasters. You can also check out the latest reviews from actual users at the web hosting reviews section.

And that's not all, the also have a section called Best Web Hosting Awards where they list winners for individual categories such as best budget web hosting, best email web hosting, best reseller web hosting and loads more. Go check it out. You'll come away impressed.

Well, I guess if I really am serious about this, I'll definitely check them out and see which hosting service meets my exact hosting requirements. But if you're planning to take the plunge anytime, do check them out before you make any decisions, ya.

  6. i just had my own domain name but remained with blogger as my host.. if i changed hosts, I would be forever lost in the blogosphere. I can't make my mind comprehend all these tech-y things. Even the downtime I experienced after changing to my domain name was due to my stoopidity.. LOL!

  14. With so many web host sites, it's not easy to choose. Perfection is way too far to achieve when it comes to this kind of service. But who knows, what you just offered for a site is a different one.
