Over And Done With ...

Christmas has finally come and gone and to be honest, I'm glad it's out of the way for this year. I so wasn't in the mood for it. I hope you guys had a much better time than I did for Christmas this year.

But that being said, it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Christmas at all. I did enjoy the Christmas party at my buddy's place on Christmas day and I still managed to sit on Santa's lap like I do every Christmas at his house party, though this year Santa was getting a little too frisky with me ... LOL!

That aside, I've been enjoying the holidays with wifey doing nothing but just lazing around the house and going shopping practically everyday that both our feet (and the boys) hurt like crazy from all the hours we've been walking around malls.

In fact, we just came back from the malls a few minutes ago and wifey is knocked out on the bed taking a nice afternoon snooze while I decided to squeeze in some blogging time. We've been out since morning and she's really beat from all the walking and shopping we did today.

One thing I'm not looking forward to at the end of this month is seeing the bills on how much we've spent for the holidays. Every time we were out, we'd end up buying all kinds of things, and that's not including the kids school stuff and all that.

I've stopped bothering to count how much we've spent so far. I'll just leave that part to wifey to sort out. she's the one who normally handles the finances anyway. I just hope I don't faint after seeing the final total ... LOL!

Another thing that I've been doing a lot these past few days is eating, eating and more eating. I know I've packed back the pounds from so much eating and it's going to be a chore trying to lose the weight I gained but then Christmas comes but once a year, so I guess it's okay to stuff yourself silly once a year, right? Anymore eating and I'll probably give Santa a fight in the tummy department soon ... LOL!

And speaking of Santa and Christmas and all that, how many of you had your wishes fulfilled by that fat white bearded guy this Christmas? I'm sure all of you have got a wish that you want fulfilled, right? Did it come true? Did you get that diamond necklace you wished for? Or even that Ceiva digital photo frame, the one where you can receive photos sent directly to the frame from anyway in this world? You know, the one where if you sign up, you stand a chance to get a $100 discount and be in the running to win a cash prize of $500?

Well, I don't know about you guys but I know none of the items on my wish list came true for me. Santa is such a cheapskate little fellow! I don't know, maybe I was aiming a little too high? What do you think? Was my wish list a tad too expensive? LOL! Well, maybe next year, I'll aim for something a little cheaper like a nice pair of Adidas running shoes or something :D That's not too expensive a gift to ask for is it?

I think I'm going to end my post here for now and go join wifey for an afternoon snooze. It's a gloomy afternoon and it sure looks like a nice fine time for a nap. And for all my Muslim blog buddies, I'd like to wish you guys a happy Awal Muharram (is that the proper way to say it?) tomorrow.

  12. I pile on those calories every day, Nick. Just those celebrations entitle me to double what I do every day. LOL! Needles to say, the weight resolution has long flied out the window. But good news is, it's time to make a new one! LOL!

I haven't been shopping anywhere, because hubby doesn't want to get himself caught in the crowd. So I haven't bought Rozie's birthday present yet, which is today, btw. She's gonna kill me.

Anyways, I hope to be back in KK for New Year's. Buddy will be missing his first and second week of school! LOL! First day of school dah ponteng!!

Well, Happy New Year to you.. Hope it's much kinder and generous to you compared to the last one. :)

  19. Shemah - LOL! Yeah, the holidays just gives us reason to eat like pigs ... hahaha ... I really gotta lose all this added weight soon though.

Your hubby is wise cos the crowds out there are ridiculous at times but what to do, wifey and me don't always get to spend time during work hours now, unlike before, so have to make the most of it.

Here's wishing you and your family a Happy New Year back home ...
