The Holidays Are Almost Here!

There's just one day to go before the I go on holiday for a whole 10 days. Woohoo! And you would think that with the Chinese New Year just around the corner and everyone is already not in the mood to work, I would have nothing to do in the office. It's the exact opposite. We've got a host of work that needs to be completed by tomorrow and my day tomorrow is already booked solid till late evening.

I'm really not looking forward to being on the road tomorrow cos I can already picture the traffic snarl caused by everyone rushing home to their respective hometowns and also by those last minutes shoppers that are the norm with every festival over here and around the world too, I think. People should just opt for online shopping, that would be one way to beat the holiday shopping rush. In this day and age, I think online shopping is the way to go :D

Well, at least with all the work I have, it makes the day pass by so much faster. Now, before I forget and maybe get too lazy to blog during the Chinese New Year holidays, I'd like to wish all my Chinese blog friends a prosperous Chinese New Year and may the year of the Ox bring each and everyone of you (me included ... hehehe) a world of wealth and good times.

Ok, now on to more important things, like just how I'm going to spend my 10 days of holiday. Well, to be honest, I have no bloody idea. Wifey and me are thinking of doing up the place by redecorating it with some new furniture and stuff but that's going to cost money. And right now, we're not all that keen on spending money unnecessarily, what with the economy being what it is and all that.

We most probably would just move around some stuff and maybe refurbish a few things like what we did a few years back. At least it'll give me a chance to use my Black and Decker drill set which I've been itching to use for quite some time now. Now, if only I had a Bostitch nailer as well, that would make my handy work all the more fun (*hint, hint, honey ... hehehe*). Maybe I could win it if I took part in the shop and confess contest from eBillme.
Besides that I really don't know what else I'll be doing during the holidays. I hope somebody invites me to their house so I can collect some Ang Pows ... LOL! And LP, if you happen to read this post, make sure my Ang Pow is in a big huge red packet, k? LOL! Adrian, you and LP going to be around for the CNY or are you guys heading to Ipoh?

Well, that's about all I have from me for now. I'm a little lazy and just a tad too tired to really write anything substantial here so I'll be signing off for now. Remember people, if you're going to drive home for the holidays, please for gods sake be careful on the roads, ok?

  2. Wah, 10 days! To be honest, I don't even know what I'm going to do with our 5 days of holiday starting from tomorrow. I don't usually visit people. This year, it's just going to my parent's place and then rot at home.

  20. I wouldn't notice the Chinese New Year here. Unlike in the Ph, most Chinese there are making noise with their firecrackers, hahaa!

I love shopping online, especially books, cos I don't have patience to look in all the shelves in the bookstore. :-) Enjoy your holiday, Nick.

  37. Romany Angel - LOL! An angpow is a Chinese custom of giving out small amounts (though sometimes it's large amounts) of money during the Chinese New Year period to unmarried people and mostly kids. Obviously I don't qualify :D

Yeah, I intend to sit back and do nothing for the 10 days ... hehehe ...

  38. Rose - Hey, first of all happy CNY to you :D
