Strange But True ... Blood, That Is!

There are some things in the universe that no matter how hard you try, you just cannot find any explanations for it. You can whack you head against a wall, you can scream and shout, you can threaten to jump off a bridge, you can go around throwing your office furniture even but no matter what you do, you just can't explain why certain things happen in life.

I mean, take for instance, why is it that the moment you finish laboring all day washing, polishing and waxing your car under the hot blistering sun and it's all nice, shiny and gleaming will it start to rain like there's no tomorrow? Or why is it that when you're late and rushing for an appointment will every traffic light you come across be red? Or why is it when you stay home all day waiting for a package, it will never arrive but the moment you leave, the darn postman will turn up?

You get what I mean, right? It never fails to happen to me. I'm sure most of you guys would have at one time or another experience something like this, right? Well, I had another one of these impossible to explain things happen to me again just three days ago. And I'm still trying to figure out the reasons why.

And it's cos of this series called True Blood! Yes, you heard me, True Blood. What? You thought it was something more earth shattering? LOL! Even having Astro with their boast of urrmm, god knows how many channels, there really is nothing worthwhile watching on TV. Mostly it's reruns of this or that.

So I channel surfed. As I was going from one channel to the next, I happen to catch True Blood playing on HBO .. or was it Cinemax? I can't remember. Anyways, I thought I'd give it a couple of minutes air time and see what all the fuss about this Vampire show.

Now let me explain something first. I'm not really a TV person. Granted I do watch certain shows but only selected ones that intrigue me but trust me, True Blood wasn't on my list of intriguing shows to watch. I've heard so much about how people are absolutely hooked on this show and wanted to find out what all the frenzy was about.

Now, ten minutes into the show I was so hooked on it that I just couldn't wait for the next episodes. You wanna know how hooked I was? Well, it was to the extent of switching channels between American Idol (which is something I don't ever miss) last night and True Blood. That's how hooked I am on the show.

I really don't know what it is that's got me interested in it. It's just a story about vampires living alongside everyday humans. Geez, what could be so darn good about it? And no, it's not because of Anna Paquin parading around in totally tight and skimpy clothing practically the entire show, mind you ... weeeelllll, maybe just a teeny weeny bit ... LOL!

Like I said, it's just one of those things you cannot explain no matter how hard you try. I mean, I still don't see what the appeal for the show really is and yet I can't wait t watch tonight's episode! Arrggghhh, I must be getting loony. Maybe that Bil Compton vampire fellow has got me under one of his vampiric spells to just sit there and watch the bloody (pun absolutely intended) show ... LOL!

I suppose if I could find the reason why I'm hooked to this show, I could also probably find the answer to solving all the world's problems :D Yeah right, Nick!
