And Don't Come Home Until You Get It Done ...

... And that was exactly what wifey said to me this morning before I left for work. Yes, yes, I was threatened by wifey this morning and if I didn't do what she wanted me to get done I would have had to sleep outside the house! She can be quite garang (fierce) at times! LOL!

I'm a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to doing things for myself. Ok, maybe not a bit. Let me rephrase that properly. I can be a BIG procrastinator when it comes to doing things for myself. Wifey will be having to remind me a billion times before I even think about getting things done.

She's been telling me for ages now to go get my car serviced. Don't wait until it breaks down then you start complaining, she says. Go now and get it serviced now, she says. This has been going on for quite some months now and this morning she got totally fed up of my 'I'll do it this weekend, honey' answer that she said if I don't get it done by today don't bother coming home! And she wasn't kidding ... hehehe ...

So, at the risk of sleeping outside tonight, I had to go get my car serviced. At least I was allowed into the house when I got home. You see, wifey can be quite particular about what I say to her.

When I tell her that I'll get something done by a certain date, she expects it to be done and don't expect to be reminding me. But me being the procrastinator that I am, I'll always keep pushing it further and further away and to the point of forgetting to do it.

And wifey will keep on reminding me daily about it and not until I'm threatened with bodily violence will I get it done ... LOL! And today was one of those days. I woke up this morning, got ready for work, took my weight loss supplements pill and then she quietly came up to me and asked me if I was going to service the car today.

And me, still sleepy and groggy gave her my standard, I'll do it this weekend answer. She in turn quietly but with a firm voice said,

'well, honey, then you don't have to come home until you get it done ...'

And by the tone of her voice and the look on her face, I could tell she meant business. So the first thing I did when I reached work was head to the mechanic a few doors away from my office to get the car serviced. He looked at me and said,

'Wah, so early!'

Look buddy, I told him, don't be sarcastic and get my car serviced before I head for home or I'm going to be spending the night in your house! When it comes to wifey, you don't wanna mess around with her. The boys have been on the receiving end of her temper and so have I and it's not at all nice, I tell you ... LOL!

But then I don't blame her, cos I'd be losing my temper if I had to hear myself say, I'll do it tomorrow all the time. Do you guys have the same problems as me? Come on, tell me already. Don't let me be the only guy in this world who procrastinates and gets threatened with bodily violence to get things done ... hehehe!
