With Christmas proper out of the way, the whole world will be looking forward (or at least I hope they are) for the New Year. I know I am. The year has been an up and down one with mostly more downs and I'm hoping and praying that the coming 2010 will be a much more fruitful one.
I've had so many obstacles and challenges thrown in my way that there were times when I felt like I couldn't overcome them. It felt like the world was conspiring against me. The sentence 'it's a conspiracy' is something my readers for my Spiffy blog would be more familiar with but that's the way I felt. Like there was someone conspiring to break my will and spirits.
But I pushed on, no matter how hard and difficult it was to overcome everything. I had one ace in the hole that the world could never begin to compete with, which was having wifey by my side to help me through the difficult times. She's been my source of inspiration for almost everything I do and I'm glad that she's mine :D
Anyways, moving away from being all soppy and cheesy ... hehehe ... I for one am really looking forward to the new year. I don't have any new years resolutions and I normally don't make them cos I can never keep them. In the past, I've made tons and tons of resolutions that could be made into a TV series, seriously.
I mean, knowing the kind of person that I am, how to you expect me to keep a resolution like 'I shall resolve not to criticize anyone' ... LOL! Like as if that will ever happen! Or even 'I shall resolve not to get mad at idiots' ... with the amount of idiots we have in this world, how in heavens name would I be able to keep a resolution like that?
See what I mean about trying to make and keep resolutions? What about you guys? Do you make a list of resolutions every year and do you somehow manage to keep them? Tell me, tell me, I'd like to know :D And I promise I won't laugh at them ... well, not too loud anyway ... LOL!
And in line with the coming New Year, here's my choice of song for Music Monday. Yes, I know! I'm actually still taking part in it. It's shocking isn't it? LOL!
This song simply called 'Happy New Year' was recorded by the all famous group ABBA (and if you don't know who they are, please crawl back under that rock you came from ... LOL!) in 1980 from their album 'Super Trouper'. The song had a working title which was rather humorously called 'Daddy Don't Get Drunk on Christmas Day'.
So, if I don't get a chance to wish you all personally in your blogs on New Years day, let me take this opportunity to wish you guys a Happy and Wonderful 2010 :D Oh and I also hope all the fighting will cease (Yeah, right). Once can always hope, right?
Oh and Gott Nytt År means Happy New Year in Swedish, just in case you're wondering. Or at least that's what the translation came out as :D
PS: Because of spamming purposes, the linky will be closed on Thursday of each week at midnight, Malaysian Time. Thank you!
Merry Christmas Nick! I hope you had a great time with yr family and friends!

My New Years resolution is a pretty easy one and can be intrepreted in any way you want
