I Walked Under A Bus, Got Hit By A Train ...

I haven't ranted about anything in a long time and I think it's about time I vented a bit. This time it's about stupid and ignorant bus drivers, not forgetting the company that they work for as well. Most of you know I work pretty near my house. It takes me only about 5 minutes, 10 at most to get to work depending on which route I use.

I always vary my route for the fun of it, depending on my moods as well. Besides, there are 3 ways to get to my office and all of them take the same amount of time. And there is this stretch of road just after a particular traffic, which is a three lane road. And this is where my blood starts to boil.

There is this particular bus company. In fact I'll even mentioned the company. The deserve recognition for being so damn stupid. The company is called Rapid KL. I hope someone from their company would stumble upon this posting. Anyways, this extremely 'intelligent' bus company decides to utilize one whole lane as a bus depot since it's the last stop or first stop, depending which way you look at it.

They've been doing this for close to a couple of months already and while it makes an already congested road even more congested and even though I think it's absolutely illegal of them to block of a whole lane of a public road with their huge stupid buses, I learned to live with it.

But recently these dumb asses have decided to hijack the second lane as well and making everyone suffer by squeezing their way through. Imagine, it's just after a 3 lane traffic lights and the moment you cross the lights, everyone gets stuck trying to squeeze into that one lane. And another thing abut the dumb ass bus drivers, they all seem to be freaking deaf cos no amount of honking bothers them in the least bit!

They just sit there in their huge air conditioned brute of a bus and don't give two hoots about the chaos they're creating! And it's worse in the evenings when everyone is going home. Just getting past that traffic lights junction can drive you insane. I wonder what they have up there in the department for brains? Cow Dung? Bird Poo? Cos it sure ain't anything resembling intelligence.

I'm going to write to their company after this post and give them at least 3 and a half portions of my mind and tell them in no uncertain terms just what I think of their intelligence and I am not going to mince my work and if that fails to elicit any kind of response, I am going to write to my state assemblyman or in the case of my area, it's a woman and see if she can do anything about these morons! If no one complains these people will never learn!

In fact, since I'm going to write to them, I'm also going to tell them how their drivers just stop their buses anywhere they bloody well please to either pick up or drop passengers. I wonder why they build bus stops for? If they're going to stop anywhere they like, don't waste money and build bus stops. These bus drivers are sometimes a bunch of thugs as far as I'm concerned. Just cos they're big and huge, they don't give a damn about the rest of the road users.

Half the time I don't think they even care about the safety of their passengers. Imagine this scenario. There I am driving on the highway just under the speed limit and a bus zooms by my car so fast that it makes my car seem like a snail! And these buses have a specific speed limit when they use the highways and they're zooming a lot faster than me. It's no wonder you hear so many incidences of fatal accidents involving buses. And they way they weave in and out of traffic at times makes me shudder.

I have been involved in an accident with a bus before in which I was rammed really hard from behind by this bus driver. It was raining heavily and my whole left rear of my car was crushed. When I pulled over to the side to access the damage and get the bus drivers details thinking he would pull over as well, I was in for the shock of my life. The moron just sped off the moment I alighted from my car. I couldn't even get his details as it was raining heavily! And I ended up having to pay for my own damage cos I couldn't provide details to the police.

Ever since then, I've hated bus drivers like the plague and I try to stay away from them if I see them on the road. Once bitten, twice shy and all that. Besides, the quality of our public transport is the pits anyway. Anyways, I hope you smart, intelligent management people at Rapid KL discover this post cos I sure as hell would appreciate it if you could get some brains and tell your equally brainless bus drivers to move their darn buses away from that road which they so conveniently hijacked to make their depot and inconvenience the rest of us road users who have to crawl our way through them.

One of these days someone is going to get killed and then you guys are probably going to cook up some stupid story that it's not your fault and that maybe the heavens weren't in alignment with the stars or the planets weren't in conjunction with the moon or something like that, which is what you people are famous for, blaming everyone but yourselves!

Now excuse me while I go Google your contact details so I can make an official complaint about my grouses! And I pray to god you people will at least have the courtesy to reply to my grouses or there will be hell to pay. There, don't say I didn't warn you!

And on a final note, the weekends almost here and I'm looking forward to it cos wifey doesn't know it yet but I'm going to take her to IKEA tomorrow cos I know she wants to get a few things. I suppose I can't really surprise her cos she reads my blog and would probably see this post anyway ... so honey, we're going shopping tomorrow :D

Hmmm, just maybe I should log on to this site called http://creditroom.com/for-Fair-Credit.php and check out their low interest credit cards with no annual fees at all. In fact I even get rewards when using it. Imagine, shopping and coming away from it with more rewards. Now, that makes shopping even better ... LOL!

  7. No, no, no....don't do that!

Giving 3 and a half portions of your mind to RapidKL isn't worth it. You'd be more moronic than they are if you did that!

    ;)

Have a great time at IKEA. Don't buy more than you can put in the boot of your car!

  10. I hate bus drivers and taxi drivers. They drive dangerously, don't signal when they're going to stop, don't signal when they're going out, and they stop wherever they want.

If u ever get stuck in that situation again, do take a pic of the bus plate number. It helps with the complaint. Better yet, if u can take the driver's pic as well.

  17. Osindak - I honestly don't understand why they can't just follow the rules and stop at the proper designated place. They make my blood boil la!

It'll be a cold day in hell before the transportation system here gets better.

  19. Corrina - As far as I'm concerned, it's totally illegal, but then the enforcement here is just as bad! And no, I seriously don't think reporting them to the cops would help. I don't even want to begin talking about the cops over here!

  20. Perry - You might have a point there buddy ... hehehe ... But I'm seriously so darn frustrated at these people and I'm definitely going to write them a nice long nasty email ... LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Rozella - They don't just drive on the fast lane, they speed like maniacs la. Sometimes they go by so fast I can even feel my car sway!

  26. Haizum - Tell me about it. I have given up on them. If my car breaks down, I'd rather borrow a car from a friend than have to depend on these buses!

  27. Hola Nick! I think u should just write to MM Hotline terus, throw tantrum there, padan muka these buses!

Sorry to hear abt ur accident, and u had to pay for the damage some more! :(

  28. So true on bus drivers. They think they are driving the big ones anyone's afraid of. Must be scary to ride on the bus with reckless drivers. So go ahead with your complaint. You need a list of people to support it, then count me in, lol!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Marzie - Sometimes that MM hotline pun I want to complain about. I've wrote to them in the past to complain about something but they never published it! Lucky got blog now, can complain better ... hehehe ...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Marlene - I think it's cos theyhuge that they don't care all that much. The same goes with lorry drivers too ... Why can't they just follow the rules?

  31. Seems some things are universal! We hate the buses here in Birmingham, AL too! They drive around all day almost empty, just making it their business to get in everyone's way, break down in the middle of the street, and stop traffic whenever they can. Nice rant, by the way! :-)

  32. Randomrefelction - Nice to know we're not the only country with moronic bus drivers ... hehehe ... It's exactly the same here too.

Oh and welcome to my blog :D
