It's 8.20am into the third day of my holiday and I'm already up. I must be insane ... LOL! Even wifey is still tucked up dreaming away in bed. Geez, I must be insane to actually wake up so early (well, 8.20am on a holiday is early for me). But the thing is I can't sleep anymore. I'm so well rested that my body was actually aching lying in bed for too long.
So, what do I do? Well, I get up and log on to my blog of course ... hehehe ... I haven't been online much except to complete one or two assignments for my other blog. I've basically been spending the past two days lazing away, doing a little more redecorating to our room and hanging around with wifey. That's about it.
The place is so nice and quiet that I didn't feel like going out anywhere at all. It's not often that all the neighbours have gone away for the holidays. Normally you'll hear kids screaming, the gas man passing by or even the annoying sounds of the old newspaper man.
But not the past two days. It's been so peaceful (well, as peaceful as my younger boy would allow it to be, that is) that it would be a waste if we went out anywhere. I can even hear the birds chirping :D Now if only everyday would be like this. Makes me long for that country home of my dreams that I want to retire to one day.
Somewhere nice and quiet, far away from civilization where I could wake up to the sounds of chirping birds or crowing roosters every morning. Where the air would be cool and I could sit out on my verandah with a nice steaming mug of coffee and watch the ducks swim by (of course my dream country house would have a stream in front la ... hehehe). Oh and it must have some kind of broadband connection too so I can still blog :D
Well, I've got a couple of things that I want to do around the house. One of them is using those shears to trim the back yard again (Perry said it was good exercise anyway). I don't want to spend the whole of my holiday just lazing around, as tempting as that may sound though. Besides going out anywhere would require money which I don't want to waste, yes call me a cheapskate, but I don't want to end up having to take out a cash advance loan or something next month.
Well, that's all from me for now folks. I'm off to make myself a nice breakfast, then maybe sit by porch and watch the urmmm, cats and occasional squirrel (that's the only animals we have in these parts) go by ... LOL! You all have a nice day, ok? I know I will :D
.
I cycled to work today, and still had time to have breakfast, wash my car, fill petrol and rob a bank! :-)
