How do you deal with people who always insist on 'upping' everything you do. For instance, you do something and they come up and say they're doing the same thing too albeit in a more boastful way. Everything you can do, they can also do.
And it gets even worse when you don't involve them in your conversation but they just never fail to sneak in and boast that they also do the same thing you're doing! Who in heaven's name asked them?
Tell me, what would you guys do? I'm on the verge of decking this person with a good left hook!

They don't know it all. They just say they know but actually they don't know or never done it. So yeah, these kinda ppl piss me off. I try to avoid these kinda ppl. Hope you find a solution for this XD

ReplyDeleteOne of my superior in school is like that. Everytime she does that ultimate annoying habit of her... I will just give her that 'Tak Tanya Pun' look, ignore her without saying anything. It is rude I know but after sometime, I think she deserves it. I guess, she got the hint already and seldom interrupt whenever I talk to someone. Ha!

ReplyDeleteTrue what Carol said, we all have at least one person like that.. There's a family friend that does that AND more! If I say I'm sick, she worse off. Another friend says she has had insomnia for 2 weeks, she has it for 4 months.
The thing is, if you change the topic, she'll steer you back no matter what. Annoying is an understatement.
Might try Mel's tactic. LOL!

What i normally do is i will just shut up and walk away or just do something else.... Let her to continue bragging about herself.. dont wanna waste my time listen to all her rubbish nor correct her in any way... if you try to correct her, 1stly she wont admit she is wrong, 2ndly she is actually learning from you then make use of it to brag to other ppl.... SO just IGNORE!!
