Today I Saw You Walking In The Rain ...

Today is the final day of my short break. I start work at my new place tomorrow and even before officially starting work I got a call from new boss asking me what time I'll be in tomorrow cos he already needs my help for a load of appointments tomorrow! I haven't even stepped into the office and my day is booked solid. Looks like it's going to be a busy week for me already.

But I don't really mind. The holiday I had since last Thursday was a pretty good one. I made the most out of it by shopping, meeting up with my two best buddies and plain just hanging around with wifey driving her up the wall at times with my antics ... LOL! So, I'm kinda raring to head back to work. Bet I won't be this enthusiastic once I reach work tomorrow.

It's been a pretty wet day today. It's been raining non-stop since this morning around 4am and it's still raining as I type this post. No complains about the rain though. It made the day such a nice, cool lazy one that wifey and me were totally bored out of both our minds. We didn't feel like going out anyway cos of the rain. And that added to the boredom.

We couldn't do any cleaning cos the place was just spotless. We've been cleaning the place so much that cleaning it anymore would make the place disappear altogether. We couldn't watch TV cos the boys hijacked the remote and made the TV their own. We didn't want to blog cos we were both too lazy, so we just lazed around in bed staring at the ceiling and laughing like two mad fools! LOL!

We were so bored out of our wits that when the boys told us there was no more bread at home, both wifey and me jumped at the chance to end our boredom. We decided we'd just walk over to the petrol stations convenience store and buy a loaf of bread. Yes, you read right, we decided to walk (which was a first for us, cos we normally drive there) and in the rain even, which turned out to be quite fun :D

There we were, like two teenagers, giggling and walking under a small umbrella in the slight drizzle all the way to the petrol station just to get a loaf of bread. Now, that's how bored we were at home all day that having to go out to buy bread excited us so much ... LOL! But I must say the walk was really refreshing though and we might even make it a habit :D

On another note, Christmas is just 17 days away but unfortunately this year, I'm not taking any Christmas leave, not because I don't want to but simply because I'm just a little too new in this company to apply for any. There's always next year I guess.

Wifey and me are not really celebrating Christmas on a big scale this year unlike last year where we threw a party at my place. This year we're going to keep it low key and maybe just go out for a nice Christmas lunch or something. We haven't decided yet. But I'm looking forward to attending my best buddies Christmas dinner though :D You are having your usual Christmas dinner, right buddy? :D
