Short Takes

I'm still in my 'unable to post anything constructive' mode so I'll just post a few short takes and they're not very cheerful takes just so you know.

Take one.

As I write this post, our 6th Prime Minister would have been sworn in by now. A man with a host of skeletons in his closet. Not a very happy day for me as he's not someone I would like to be ruling this country. But then, I don't really have a choice (just like everyone else in this country) to vote for who we would like to really have run this country. The choice of Prime Minister over here is decided upon by a certain number of people in a certain political party. Anyways, I wish us all the best ... siggghhh ...

Take two.

The times are really getting to be pretty bad out there. Making ends meet is taking a huge toll on my finances. Our weekend grocery shopping trip these days costs us so much more than what it used to only six months ago. That's how fast things have taken a turn for the worst, economically speaking. The amount of things that we could buy with a RM100 back then has dwindled to just half the amount these days and I'm seriously scratching my head figuring out how to cut down even more to stretch the dollar. Anymore cutting back and we'll be eating the grass off the front lawn soon ... siggghhh ...

Take three.

On the way to work this morning I saw a car next to me at the traffic lights. The passengers were two adults and two little boys. I guess the two adults were the parents. All of them looked happy and were smiling in the car. Nothing so unusual about it, right? Well, wrong! They had the two little boys on both their laps, one in the passenger side and the other (god forbid!) on the lap of the driver! And what's worse is when the lights turned green they didn't bother putting the kids in the back seat and just drove off with them on their laps, the driver included. I guess the kids life were not all that important and maybe they served as some disposable air bags to these two morons of parents ... siggghhh ...

Take four.

Since we're on the subject of parents, have you heard about Parentcity.com? No? Well, it's a place where people, products and ideas come together in a unique way and let parents share their experiences with a wide range of range of children's products such as strollers, car seats (which those two moronic parents probably need) picture books right up to educational toys. Parentcity aims to use social networking to provide a place where parents can find and share what products their friends and other parents have in order to make informed purchases for their young children. Go ahead and check it out already, you might find something interesting and cheap that doesn't cost too much ... siggghhh ...

Take five.

On a much better note, though the future doesn't hold much promise just yet, I'm happy to have a roof over my head and a wife who loves me :D Oh, did I mention that we have a new Prime Minister today? I did? Oh well ... siggghhh ...

As for the skeletons in the closet, truth will always remain the truth even if no one sees it but the man upstairs sees and knows all things ;)

  30. Wow, kids on the lap while driving, eh? What the heck is wrong with some people, do they not care enough to consider safety a priority? Apparently not, (can we say some folks are missing their marbles?). Hmph, maybe people like this are just hoping to cut down on the cost of their grocery bill; after all, it could mean less mouths to feed if their stupidity "pays off".

    Sheesh, some people...crazy, crazy, crazy.

    ReplyDelete
