Ok, now I'm seriously getting annoyed with the opposite neighbour. As if the noise they made with the firecrackers last Saturday was not enough so this evening they start blasting away firecrackers non-stop for god knows how long. It's still going on even as I type this post.
Come on people, like I said in my earlier post. I'm not against celebration but be a bit more respectful of your neighbours who harbour peace and quiet. Go ahead and blast all the firecrackers you want but not for two or more non stop hours! Some of us want to enjoy a nice quiet dinner and also catch some TV. Some of us have to do colon cleanse reviews!
The noise you guys are making are really getting on my nerves. And the amount of smoke being generated by the firecrackers is so foul that wifey had to close all our doors and windows. I'm not even going to mention about the screaming and unruly kids throwing all kinds of sparklers here and there. I wonder which house they might just burn down!
Come on you overly insensitive morons, I'm already getting really pissed and if by the time this post is done, you guys are not through, I am going to have some nasty words for you. Pebbles is so terrified by the noise that she's running around in fright every time a firecracker explodes. Even trying to carry her is not doing any good as she kicking and scratching me wanting to go hide somewhere.
She's really terrified and even tried hiding out in my laptop bag, the poor girl. Here she is trying to find cover in my bookshelf and you can just see the fear in her eyes, so much so that she doesn't even want to eat her favourite treats offered to her, which is really rare. Ah good, the morons have finally stopped! Peace at last.
.
hahahhahaa.. is that even possible.. hahhahaa.. how did she get stuck there.. hahhahahaa
ReplyDeletepoor girl.. she is really terrified.. close all the windows to block out the sound.. urmm.. it would help to sit on the floor with her.. and let her be near u..the are really terrified of thunder and firecrackers.
ReplyDeleteurmm.. how did she manage to climb up there?
You should go out there, take a firecracker and shove it up their butts. It's supposed to be banned but somehow the law enforcement conveniently closes on eye during Raya month.
ReplyDeleteMy family played with crackers that didn't make any sound, and the police were there in 15 minutes because some neighbors complained. Oh well, what to do, have to just cope with the double standards.
Haha! Poor Pebbles! So cute trying to hide in your bookshelf! : )
ReplyDeleteSince when is Deepavali so noisy with fireworks? I don't remember it being like this last year.
ReplyDeleteAwww poor pebbles. XD omg, the photo of pebbles is so cute.
ReplyDeletePoor thing but Pebbles looks soo adorable hiding in the bookshelf!
ReplyDeletenick I feel so bad for you and your family. just seeing that look in pebbles eyes is terrible. maybe you should take her to their house and let them see her. better yet, take her to the vet for tranqulizers and take them the bill, along with the police. they are not nice neighbors obviously, because they ignore everyone else.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Por Pebbles! Dogs are very sensitive to noise, she must have thought it was thunder.
ReplyDeleteAnny - Beats me, fear can make people including dogs do all kinds of weird stuff ... hehehe!
ReplyDeleteAnny - We did close all the windows. We even offered her some of her favourite snacks but she was too frightened to even bother with it.
ReplyDeleteI did try to sit next to her but she was more interested in squeezing into my laptop bag. As to how she got there, well, she jumped from my lap onto the shelf ...
Gallivanter - I was on the verge of doing that. I've been trying to figure out just where do they but these banned substance.
ReplyDeleteHey, our police force, they're known for double standards :D
Foong - Cute yes but the poor girl was terrified. You could see her shaking in fear.
ReplyDeleteFoong - I don't remember it ever being like this ever!
ReplyDeleteMaslight - LOL! Yeah, it's cute to us, but for her it was terrifying la ...
ReplyDeleteSriyany - LOL! She is cute even when she's frightened. Btw, I can't seem to comment in your blog la. The comment box never appears ...
ReplyDeleteRe Ausetkmt - First of all, welcome to my blog. Yes, they're really insensitive neighbhours. I had half a mind to go over and smack them silly!
ReplyDeleteBT - She probably thought the world was coming to an end!
ReplyDeletePiper was afraid of the firecrackers too last Saturday. He had a pepetual stunned look on his face.. until the crackers stopped cracking.. usually he'll sit very near us.. sticking his entire body to us. As for Dom.. he is macho.. he sleeps right thru it all.. *lol*
ReplyDeleteyeah! i hate my inconsiderate neigbour too..playing firecrackers in the middle of the night..like other people no need to sleep..
ReplyDeletePoor Pebbles! But she's so cute hiding like that! if only she can use ear plug hehe
ReplyDeleteAnny - Pebbles is different, she just wants to find a corner far, far away and hideout. She really was shaking with fear. Darn those neighbours.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Piper also penakut ... hehehe ...
Kadusmama - Exactly! Celebrate all you want but with a little consideration would be helpful.
ReplyDeleteSoulie - Ear plugs! Hey, that's a good idea ... now if she'll only let me touch her ears, she gets pretty irritated when I try touching her ears ... LOL!
ReplyDeletePoor Pebbles. I know how she feels....I don't like firecrackers either.
ReplyDeleteawwwh so kesian Pebbles.
ReplyDeleteone of my male dogs also like that...so terrified of firecrackers. he would even ignore eating and hide out under the laundry sink if he hears one.
Unfortunately, firework blasts and petards being let off are the order of the day in summer here in Malta. Every weekend fireworks are let off in an average of 4 villages celebrating their feasts. Forget about going somewhere in peace - you can't get away from them.
ReplyDeleteNow that the summer festas have finished we are being bombarded with the sound of gunshots. We don't have much choice. Check out my last post and you'll see what I mean. http://anecdotesfrommalta.blogspot.com/2009/10/hunting-in-malta-2.html
Gypsy - Neither do I and I was really pissed by all the racket they created!
ReplyDeleteCarol - Kesian betul, she was practically shivering la! Pebbles was trying to find any place she could fit herself into every time a firecracker explode!
ReplyDeleteZen - Oh man, I'd be a very annoyed man if I was living there ... LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat look on Pebbles'face! I can just imagine what she might have said: Gulp, I can't take it anymore!
ReplyDeletePoor Pebbles. And poor you and your families heads with all that noise! I'm glad it's stopped now. I wish you a peaceful day and evening ahead.
ReplyDeletePoor pebbles scared of fireworks!

Perry - I'll bet she would have said that if she could talk ... LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe World According To Me - I'm looking forward to some peaceful time too :D
