Dreams Do Come True ...

In my previous post I wrote about a dream I had and the significance of that dream. In trying to figure out the significance of that dream, I theorized that I was probably going to be rich soon. Hah! How bloody wrong that theory was.

This evening, after writing that post, I went and washed the bathroom in our room. It's something I do on a weekly basis and have been doing so for ages. As usual, I'll be scrubbing here and there and the place would be a little slippery from all that cleaning soap I have on the walls and the floor.

I've done this a million times before and today would have been like any other bathroom cleaning day except for the fact that I slipped and had a nasty fall and in trying to break my fall, I grabbed onto the toilet sink which couldn't hold my weight and came crashing down together with me ending in a loud crash that startled both wifey and Pebbles who came running to see what the heck happened.

There on the bathroom floor with me was the broken ceramic sink with shard of broken pieces all around. Wifey was more worried that I was hurt bad cos the scene looked like an explosion had just happened. In fact she was more worried about me getting impaled by the ceramic shards which thank god didn't happen.

Half of the broken sink after the clean up ...

Though I wasn't hurt very badly, I have tons of cuts all over my hands and feet from stepping on and trying to pick up broken pieces of ceramic from half of the smashed sink, which I can assure you cuts as easily as a hot knife through butter. Couple that with the fact that my right elbow and right knee are throbbing in pain from the fall, I was bloody lucky nothing more serious happened.

Obviously that dream I had last night was trying to tell me to be more careful in the bathroom and that I would need to buy a new sink and get a plumber to fix it and not that I was going to be bathing in money! Damn! I should have paid more attention to that dream. I guess dreams do sometimes have a much deeper meaning to them and though it may just be a bloody coincidence, I shall not ignore my dreams from now.

The badly broken wall where the sink used to be ...

Wifey has another theory that maybe something 'naughty' or evil was lurking around 'pushed' me and she does have a point. It was close to 6pm and my grandma used to forbid us from playing or doing stuff outside around that time cause apparently that was a time when spirits and nasty things roam around trying to cause mischief! Now, I don't know how true that is but after what I went through, I won't discount that fact either.

A word of warning. Don't discount your dreams, it could probably save your life one day! Now I need to go rest cos I hurt all over from the pain in my elbow and knee and also from the numerous cuts I have all over me.

  1. I don't know whether to laugh or to feel sorry for you. Sometimes you give me the impression that you're a tad disaster prone!!! I think your wife won't be letting you in charge of the bathroom anymore!

  2. Oh my goodness! Having to replace a new sink ain't cheap. Furthermore, if you do not know how to do it, you have to hire a plumber. Gee...you need to be careful and maybe dreams can help us to take preventive actions before something bad happen.

  20. Xin - Adui, your fall sounds worse than mine. I'm paranoid of my own toilet now. I think I'll go get some of those non slips mats. At least that way, I know I won't fall.

But then, with me you just never know ... LOL!
