Life Is Good ...

It's been a while since my last post and it's not because I don't have anything to blog about. I have tons of things that I want to blog about and one of it is my stupid, moronic, imbecilic, annoying and retarded neighbour but I'll keep that post for a later date.

The reason for my lack of postings is I'm pretty tied up with work. I thought that by quitting my job and working from home running own little business would be a lot easier and less stressful for me but heck no, it's even worse (in a good way) than being employed full time!

I've been so swamped with work that blogging has taken a little back seat at the moment (god forbid!). Gosh, I only have three clients at the moment and I'm so busy. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I actually like working for myself. I'm not answerable to anyone but myself and I get full job satisfaction these days.

I don't find myself having to drag my butt out of bed every morning just to get ready for work and having to fight my way through the usual rush hour traffic waving my fist in anger at moronic drivers just to get to work every morning. Now I can wake up at my own pace, walk downstairs into my office and start my work, all in the comforts of my own home :D

And when I do need to visit my clients or suppliers like what I had to do today, I schedule them during off peak hours which is really working out great for me. The only thing is after I visit my clients and bring back new projects, I have to sit there and work out the concepts and layouts myself and then figure out the costings and quotes which really takes up quite a bit of time, hence the less time I have to blog.

It's a good thing wifey handles all my accounting and paperwork otherwise I won't even have time to go pee ... LOL! I'm slowly going to train her how to work out quotations for me so I have more time to concentrate on other things. And once I can get her to work on layouts for me, I can sit home and watch TV all day long ... hahaha!

Though I'm pretty busy these days so much so that I don't even have the time to design my own company (which I registered officially last week) logo, business cards and all that yet but I am pretty happy to finally be in command of my own destiny ... wah, that sounded very Lord of Ring-'ish'! LOL! It sure beats having to slog 8-10 hours a day for someone and in the end you get ZERO satisfaction out of it, not to mention the same miserable salary every month.

All I need to do these days is make sure I keep the momentum going and to make certain I have clients who need things done on a monthly basis and the rest is easy-peasy :D I really don't mind the hard work involved. The only thing is the lack of blogging time which I'm sure I can squeeze in here and there. And you guys update your blogs on such a regular basis that it's hard trying to keep up at times. Give a guy a break already ... LOL!

Since I have some free time right now I thought I'd write a few lines and catch up on your blogs before I head out in a little while to see a supplier about some printing quotes. Life right now is pretty decent and I have nothing much to bitch about except for my stupid, moronic, imbecilic, annoying and retarded neighbour which I WILL most definitely post about soon.

Till then, you all have a nice day. I'm off to visit some of your blogs now.

  4. HeLLo Nick,

It is really a bold move to work on your own. especially when the income depends so much on yourself. I must admit that, having to work for your own is a great satisfaction. So far, I am doing business on a part-time basis.

Referring to what you said "I'm not answerable to anyone but myself" . It is true, but i think you are also answerable to your clients when things go wrong. Hahaha...the best thing to do is... to avoid mistakes whenever possible right?

  7. Willie - It's risky, that much I have to agree but I aim to see this through :D It's always more satisfying to be your own boss.

Yes, these days I answer directly to my clients and hopefully I don't screw up anything ... LOL!

  8. Life is good as long as you work hard (since your own call all the time now), play hard and enjoy every minute of it. At the end of each day, be grateful for everything that came passing your way. Then ... LIFE WILL BE DOUBLE, TRIPLE GOOD!!! All the best and every success to you, Nick.

Btw, if you need a printing supplier, do give me a holler at: wenny.firstone@gmail.com. Would appreciate every opportunity. Thank you.
