My Bathroom Is Haunted!

First of all, no I haven't gone to the doctors to check on my arm cos it's getting better already. I can now move my arm and straighten it a lot more. There's still a little swelling though but I think if I don't aggravate it too much, things would be fine.

Yes, I'm stubborn headed. Wifey has been harassing me to take me to the clinic but I've been pushing it aside so much so that she says she's going to look for some easy life insurance quotes ... LOL! Anyways, if it gets worse, then I'll go tonight right after some work I have to do later this evening for a client of mine.

Secondly, I think my bathroom is haunted or is at least harboring some mischievous little demon. Remember the post I had about falling in the bathroom a while back? Like I said in that post, I've washed that bathroom so many millions of times before and never fell even once, not even a slip. So it was strange indeed for me to actually fall. I have a nasty feeling something 'pushed' me, if you know what I mean.

Let me tell you a few more incidences that happened in that bathroom and not just with me. Last night, just before sleeping, I went and took a shower which I always do cos I cannot sleep if I don't take a quick shower (or hose down as wifey and me call it). Now, the days are pretty hot over here and I didn't turn on the heater cos the water that flows through the pipes are warm enough already.

So, there I was in the shower last night, it was slightly after 12 am in the morning, and I turn on the shower. Wifey had her hose down session before me and she was already complaining that the water was still pretty warm even without the heater on. So when my turn came, I turn on the shower and true enough, the water was a little on the warm side.

But then, all of a sudden I start shivering, my palms start feeling extremely prickly, my teeth start chattering and my knees start shaking from cold. And I really mean cold. I quickly turn on the heater and it doesn't help at all. There I am in the shower shivering like as if I was standing buck naked in the middle of Alaska with the heater turned on.

I couldn't stand it anymore, I quickly towel myself off and can hardly speak from all the shivering I'm doing. Wifey helps me get tucked into bed under the covers. I have the blankets all the way up to my neck and I'm still freezing. Wifey even put on a pair of socks for me to keep me warm. The strange thing is, the weather is blistering hot cos wifey has beads of sweat on her forehead and she just took her shower. So there really wasn't any reason for me to be shivering like that.

I've ALWAYS had my nightly 'hose down' sessions before I sleep and have never felt cold like that before. I told wifey that maybe there really was something nasty in that bathroom and she brushed it off as me not feeling well. Anyways, I went to bed and started feeling much better as the night wore on.

Then this morning while wifey was cooking lunch for the boys, and we were chit chatting about stuff as usual when suddenly she said to me that maybe my theory about the bathroom being haunted may not be far fetched afterall. I ask her what she means by that.

She starts relating to me two incidences that happened to her in that bathroom. Normally, every morning, she would wake up way before me to get the boys ready for school. And she would always have her shower first to properly 'wake up' from sleep. There were two incidences she said that while she was bathing, she felt like as if something or someone had pulled her back and she nearly lost her balance.

The first time it happened she just brushed it off as being groggy from just waking up from sleep. Then it happened again a few days later and this time she was more positive that something pulled her from behind and she had to balance herself by holding on the bathroom walls to keep from falling. But wifey is not the cowardly kind of person like me (LOL!) and she totally forgot all about the incident until today.

She says that she's positively sure that it wasn't cos she was feeling faint or anything. She's absolutely certain that she was pulled. Okay, just writing this post is giving me the heebee jeebees and it's noon right now. Now I'm more convinced that something sinister is going on in my bathroom. That chilling cold incident I had last night cannot be something normal, not on a hot night and not with the heater turned on.

We're just going to have to be more careful in the bathroom from now on and maybe later I'll go sprinkle some holy water in the bathroom. But Pebbles doesn't seem to sense anything wrong in there and she also uses that bathroom to do her little doggy business and all that. Dogs should know cos afterall dogs have this keen sense of sniffing out the supernatural, right?

Maybe it's all just pure coincidences, I don't know. But after hearing her incidences in the bathroom and coupled with what I went through, I'm pretty sure it wasn't just random happenings. I wonder who I can call to help me out. Do any of you happen to have the Ghost Busters number or email on hand? Wait, maybe they have a Facebook account ... LOL!

  2. Yikes Bud! You always have something strange going on lah!! :) Maybe you should do some background investigating too and find out why the previous tenants left...if anyone is willing to talk that is. Holy water sounds like a good plan. TGIF dude!

  3. Iyerrr.. so scary!! How long has this been going on? And is that THE haunted bathroom of yours? looking at that shadow on the wall pun is freaky enough. LOL!

But really lah.. with the scorching hot weather.. i think everyone has a hose down after midnight before going to sleep. Even my little allie has a hose down even at 10pm with the heater on or else she'll be cranky and can't sleep.

But after hearing that, macam scary..

What happened to ur wifey is really freaky lah. I mean what if she (or you) get injured after falling..

And yeah, Pebbles should've been able to sense.. but you know, babies can sense that too. Go and borrow someone's baby!! hahahaha.. kidding, man..

Good luck with exorcising your bathroom!!

  9. I ALWAYS hose down past midnight. Look! It's 12.30am now and I'm reading this, and later I will be showering before I sleep. Now I am wondering if I should just go straight to bed! LOL!

  10. I have a friend who experienced the exact opposite of what you experienced in a hotel bathroom. She said she did not switch on the heater and use cold water to shower, then suddenly the water became extremely hot! It was hot even when she was using the cold water tap! the next day, she asked for a change of room!

  11. But you have been staying in this house for many years and used the bathroom for a long time already right? Then it is highly unlikely that it's haunted. Unless you just invited an uninvited guest into your home! *tremble*

  12. So this only happens in your bathroom? Never happens in any other part of the house? Hmmm, maybe it's an energy imbalance. Take a compass into the bathroom and see if the needle goes haywire! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Problem is, this compass test cannot conclude that your bathroom is not haunted. LOL! It can be energy imbalance that causes the needle to move way off tangent, but the energy imbalance is probably caused by ghosts!!!! Yikes!!!

  17. I had to come back to this post again in broad daylight.

I was reading it yesterday night, overwhelmed by goosebumps, I quickly shutdown my notebook, jumped right into bed (luckily I'd brushed my teeth earlier), pulled the cover over my head and didn't wake up till my alarm rang at 6.15am for my morning run. So happened, hubby was out playing pool with his friends.

EEEEEERIEEEEEE!!! Next time, I read any ghostly title on your blog, I think I'll skip reading it till the next morning.

Btw, I agree with ALTing. It could be gout and at your age, advisable to check it out Dude! ;)

  18. Maslight - It is. Now I'm thinking twice about bathing so late ... LOL!

  19. Adrian - I think I'd rather not know the real reason, if there is any though of why the previous tenants left.

Some things are better left unknown. Have fun in Malacca dude :D

I've actually already fallen down and broken the sink a few weeks back but thought it was due to my clumsiness, now I'm not so sure anymore ...

Oh and anyone got baby to rent ah? Hahaha!

  24. Alting - I don't think it's gout cos it's not at my joints and if I tak salah, gout affects those areas, but thanks for the tip, I think I just might do a uric acid test :D

At my age, it could be a lot of things ... LOL!

  35. Whoa! I'm already scared just thinking about some bathroom demon lurking about.

Too bad we don't have Ghostbusters on speed dial but yea they may be on Facebook! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. Perhaps you should use the other bathroom in the house to avoid further incidences.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sriyany - LOL! I think everyone but me is on facebook!

    ReplyDelete
  38. BT - LOL! Maybe we should but we're both the kind that don't like using other bathrooms even though it's in the same house ...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Interesting story! Yup, it just might be haunted.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Catnipthyme - I hope not though cos it sure isn't good news for a coward like me!
