An update from my previous post. My right arm got even worse this evening and it hurts like crazy! After coming back from IKEA, I tried to be a macho man and install a table we bought from there which really wasn't all that hard to install, at least not for someone with two good working hands.
Suffice to say, I ignored wifey's warning about taking it easy and installing the table once my arm heals. Well, I learned my lesson well cos half way through the installation, I started screaming in pain so much so that my younger boy who is a member of the Red Crescent in school ran upstairs to get his sling and help me wrap my arm up.
God, I really was in pain that wifey was on the verge of dragging me to the doctors. I couldn't even lift my arm or straighten it without suffering in agony. After getting my arm in the sling made by the little fellow, wifey gave it a massage and though it's still hurting like crazy, it was a little more bearable.
I'm really hoping the pain will at least subside by tomorrow cos I have a busy afternoon supervising another signage installation and I don't want to be suffering in pain. In fact, I hope I can drive tomorrow. Worse still, I think I shouldn't be blogging now cos it sure isn't helping my arm one bit and typing with only one hand is taking forever!
Besides I'd better log off before wifey bops me on the head for being a stubborn headed donkey!
.

ReplyDeletedear god, you have to do exercises, dude!!! that spells carpal tunnel syndrome, which is something i had because of all the writing i did, man!! take it seriously, take a break once in a while, and stretch those arms. google up or youtube exercises for carpal tunnel syndrome. it's common. hope you get well soon...i know how it stings like MAD!!
ReplyDeleteMarsha - But I do get my work out from all the running around I do on a daily basis for work. I hope it's not carpal tunnel syndrome. I think I must have pulled a muscle or something.
