OK, get ready for a quick bitch post. Really, I mean it, this will be quick. I'm damn busy right now with loads of work to complete before my planned vacation out of town this Friday. Yes, you heard right, I'm heading out for a much needed vacation this Friday, a nice three day vacation :D
Ok, back to my bitch post. I really don't know what it is these days with sales people. They either bug you when you're having lunch or walking around the malls or they're either not bothered in wanting to sell you stuff.
A couple of days ago, I was at Tesco and wanted to get wifey a new cell phone. The poor girl lost her phone when my car was stolen about a month back. So there we were at the cell phone counter and she saw this model that she liked.
Now, of course before you even buy a phone, you need to look at it, feel it, touch, play around with the functions before you purchase it. So I asked the sales guy whether I can switch it on and try it out.
He gives me this look and says that the phone is not charged. Okay, so get a charger and plug it on so I can test it out. But he just keeps on mumbling,
'No battery, no battery ...'
So I ask him how am I going to buy the phone if I don't get to test it out? He turns to me and ask me to buy it and take it home and try it out! The cheek of him. Are you even interested in selling your product or not?
What kind of stupid response was it asking me to buy it without even testing it? I was so pissed, I chucked the phone on the counter and walked off mumbling loudly what stupid sales people they have these days. I was going to buy that phone for wifey but his stupid attitude made me do otherwise. And it was not like it was a cheap phone at that!
What happened to good customer service? Maybe I didn't look important enough or maybe I looked like someone who doesn't have money to buy stuff (actually I don't have money to buy stuff ... LOL!) or something. Maybe if I was in a tuxedo, he might have given me better service.
Oh well, it was his loss. I could always buy the phone somewhere else. Maybe he should sell whole life insurance quotes instead of cell phones. Then he'd probably have to start chasing people for a sale cos we all know how everyone runs away from insurance sales people ... LOL!
Ok, I'd better stop now cos my quick post just became a long post!
ps. I didn't bother proof reading this post so bear with the typo's, ok? :P
