The Anniversary

The wife and me were expecting to have an easy morning prior to race day tonight but somehow that was not going to happen. we discovered the house looked like a garbage dump, in fact a garbage dump is so much cleaner.

Took us the entire morning just to get the house in order and now I feel like I've just been through a half marathon! It's not going to be an easy run tonight, that's for sure. The sun is also out in its majestic glory and I'm sure it's going to be a hot night, what with close to 4,000 other runners running along side.

Oh well I guess I shouldn't be complaining, at least the chores are done and I can take the rest of the day off and rest until later this evening where I'll be heading out to the race location early to get a nice parking spot.

The Men's Health Shape Night Run tonight is like an anniversary run for the wife and me. It was basically this run, three years ago when we both ran together for the first time. This was the race that got the wife hooked on running and also rekindled my passion for the sport.

My new GOrun Ride as modeled by that cute lil diva ...
Since it's our 'anniversary' run, I think I'll look up some chocolate anniversary presents by Shari's Berries, that is seeing if I can still walk after the run ... LOL! I have another race the very next morning, the BHP Orange run, which right now looks like a DNS. I don't even know why I register for back to back runs when I'm not sure of being able to even wake up for the next run!
