Quarantined!

I think someone is out to get me. First I get sidelined from running for an entire week due to muscular issues. Then just as I'm all recovered and ready to hit the roads again, my elder boy gets bogged down with the flu and fever. As if that is frightening enough, I come to the office and discover almost everyone is sneezing and coughing!

Normally, I wouldn't be too bothered but the Putrajaya Night Marathon is just around the corner and I've already missed a whole week of important training, I really can't afford to miss anymore, especially so when I'm planning to attempt my second full marathon race.

While some may find running a marathon child's play, I'm not one of those people. I remember how tough it was attempting my first full marathon and trying to attempt one without proper preparations and training is simply asking for trouble.

I've been putting a lot of effort in my training prior to my injury and really need to make up for the lost time these next 10 days or so before race day. Falling sick now is the last thing I would want to happen to me. Looks like I'm going to quarantine and lock myself in my room all day today.

At least it'll give me time to look into these brochures on knee scooters for sale that's been lying on my desk all week,

  1. Oh gawd, that's one thing that'll freak me out. Heck, I even hated when I'm on a strict running regime that I had to take 2 weeks off from injury. Neways, all the best for your 2nd marathon, I'm very much excited for November! 2nd marathon too yay~

    1. Injuries can be a big bummer especially when you're training for a race.

All the best in the PBIM. I'm giving that a miss.
