Damn, I'm Hot!

The weather is back to its normal blistering self again after the past month of continuous evening rains. And when I say blistering, I really mean blistering. Just walking outside at noon can fry your brains in a few minutes, that is if one actually has brains to fry ... hahaha! Don't mind me, it's the heat talking.

It's close to 10.30pm and it's still hot, stuffy and humid in my mini office at home as I look into this Web To Print Solution that I'm working on. The fan just doesn't seem to be able to keep up with trying to cool me down and I can't wait to head up to the room and switch on the AC!

I know of one little furry critter who also can't wait to head upstairs to bask right under the air conditioning unit. Pebbles, my little pampered dog simply idolizes the air conditioning in the room. The moment she gets into the room, she'll look at the air conditioning wall unit, then either at me or the wife and then back to the unit as if to say,

'hey you humans, switch on the darn thing already!'

Once we switch it on, she'll jump on the bed and plonk her furry little self right at the foot of the bed under the air-conditioning and snooze off to sleep. In fact on a good day, she'll even be snoring! Yes, that little thing actually snores. The first time the wife and me heard her snore, we thought it was the neighbours ... hahaha!

That dog has come along way since the first time she moved in with us. Back then, she was a cautious and wary little dog, not anymore. These days, she actually rules the house and we're just her human slaves. But she's a lovable albeit pampered little thing and is actually part of the family.

happily enjoying her favourite snack ...
She follows the wife around everywhere like her shadow in the day time and then follows me around like a shadow when I get home from work. In the day she belongs to the wife and at night she belongs to me. At least she's fair in that sense.

Ok, now if you'll excuse me, I think it's time to head upstairs and worship the thing that blows cold air cos it's so darned hot downstairs!
