I actually managed to start my running programme again yesterday :) It felt real good to be putting on that old dusty pair of running shoes and hitting that asphalt again. The first step is always the hardest, especially when you haven't run in a long time but once you're out there on the road, with the wind whipping your face (ok, ok, sounds corny, I know ... LOL) it all seems worth it again. Now, the other hard part is making sure I'm motivated enough to keep on with the programme!
Good on ya!
ReplyDeleteThe 1st step is always the hardest. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteEasy for you guys to say, I'm the one with the aches in my legs ... LOL! Thanx for the words of support people :)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up, it will only get easier!
ReplyDeleteit's always hard to start the fire. But once there's a spark, keep it up! You'll be on fire! :) Do update us on your progress..
ReplyDeleteHey diamond, thanx for the encouraging words!
ReplyDeleteJean, I'll definitely post updates on my progress but if you don't see any new postings for awhile means I fainted on the road somewhere while running ... LOL!
The weather must be so nice that it's perfect for jogging... I'm pretty sure that you'll be telling us that you're running a Marathon sometime in the near future.
ReplyDelete:)
Hey Sharon, its one of my dreams to run an actual marathon, the best I've managed are half marathons. I seriously hope that once I'm fit again (maybe in a decade or two ... LOL) I'll be happy to have a posting here that says I've finally run a full marathon :)
ReplyDeleteThe motivation part is the real killer, isn't it? I need to get out there and start walking again, now that the weather is warm again. Happen to have a cattle prod handy? LOL
ReplyDeleteHey Leigh, if you happen to get that cattle prod, send one my way. LOL!
