Oh No, Not Again!

My neanderthal neighbour is at it again. He's beginning to get annoying once more. Some of my older blog buddies would know some of the problems I've been having with both my left and right neighbours. In fact for those of you who don't know about my neighbourly problems, you can check it out here and here so you know what you've missed about my two 'wonderful' neighbours.

They've been pretty quiet the past couple of months and just when I thought things would finally settle down the neanderthal has to start his whining about my mango tree again. I have this nice (well to me it's nice) mango tree in my front yard and it provides some gentle relieve and shade to the place on really hot days, not to mention it greens the earth a little as well.

Now, my neanderthal neighbour hasn't been staying here very long. I think he moved in slightly more that a year ago and when he moved it, he started making a fuss to get the tree cut cos some branches were intruding into his beautifully renovated house which was actually true la.

So, being the nice person that I am (ahem ... hehehe) I complied and gave the tree a trim. It was a little on the bushy side anyway. And you think he'd be pleased with that? No, he wasn't. A month or so later, the bum actually when and complained to the local municipality that he was afraid the tree would fall on his stupid head and they came over and checked the tree and came to a conclusion that my tree was within regulations and I didn't need to do anything about it. Hah! Score one for me :D

I was really pissed with what he did by complaining to the municipality but again, being the charmingly nice person (LOL!) that I am, I gave the tree a major trim losing out almost 95% of the shade it used to provide. And I seriously thought that he would finally be pleased. No, not him. He would only be pleased if I actually chopped the whole darn tree down completely.

He still kept on complaining that the leaves were being blown by the wind into his place, especially when it rains. Like as if I can control the direction of the wind! So, I just ignore him and the tree has now finally grown once again and providing a nice leafy shady area on my side of the house as the picture below will show you.

Then just last week he started his nonsense again about cutting the tree cos the leaves dropping into his compound when it rains and clogs up his gutters and caused it to flood the whole inside of his house! Yeah righhhhtttt, I'm sure it did. He probably needed a boat to negotiate the flood in his house caused by my mango tree leaves clogging his gutters outside.

First of all, I can see the gutters from upstairs in my room and it's far from clogged and secondly, the bloody gutters have got no connection with the insides of his house so how in heavens name did the insides of his house get flooded? Which trust me, never happened. At least be honest about the reason why he wants me to cut tree la. Don't give me crap stories like it's flooding his house and all that.

Never mind, being the urmmm incredibly wonderful people that we are (LMAO!), both wifey and me told him that we'll trim the tree a little by the end of the month. But every time he sees me, he'll keep reminding me to get it cut and he even harasses my mom about it! Now that really pisses me off. He doesn't need to keep reminding me about it and then go harass my mom some more. I know I told him by the end of the month but not everyone is rich like him. Some of us need to wait for our paycheck to come out. I don't have a vault of money lying around in my house or anything.

It's not cheap getting people to trim that tree and disposing of the branches and all that. And with the times being what it is, every cent counts and I seriously don't feel like wasting good money to trim my shady tree just to please him but I'm still going to do it. Just don't bug me until I get it done. I haven't forgotten. I just need to go find somebody to do it. Damn, I hate that old man.

You know, he's the type of person who would cut down all the trees in this world if given the choice. He doesn't like any greenery whatsoever. His whole house looks so cold and unfriendly with concrete and marble all around. He cemented his whole yard. What has he got against nature, I have no idea. Instead of being thankful that I have nice mango tree that also provides some shade to his house, he wants me to chop it off and make the place look like a barren desert. What a moron!

Maybe he should just go live somewhere where the wind doesn't blow dirt, leaves and all that into his place. Somewhere where there is no trees to bug him. Somewhere far away from civilization. I'm so pissed right now, I wish the tree would really fall into his house right smack on his moronic head.

Wifey and me decided to really chop that tree down to just a small little canopy of leaves and I'm going to miss the shade it's going to provide. I'll post the picture of the tree after the job is done. I guess some people just don't believe in the term, 'Green The Earth', ya? I wonder what the other neighbour will do to piss me off soon. They take turns making my life miserable!

  2. alaaaa.. so sayanggg! don't laaa.. We need all the trees that we can get.. mango tree pulak tu. I bet if it starts fruiting, he'll be one of those who'll just pluck the fruits that go over to his side as if he deserves it. Terrible lah!! Just leave the tree there and let it drive him crazy until he has to move! *evil laughter*

  3. some people are never happy no matter how you try to accomodate them. I think he is being a little ridiculous by complaining to the town. What a Jerk Move on his part.

  4. If I were you, I wouldn't accommodate his request. I'm not as nice as you are ;)

I'll probably send spam mail into his mailbox about going green, or how polluted our world is & how we need to plant more trees to reduce the global warming effects.

Then when it rains, i'll take pics of his gutter.. just as proof to him that it's not as clogged up as he says it is.

Or I could send a basket of mango fruits to him as peace offerings.

But if that doesn't work, you could always throw breadcrumbs to his place. That'll attract birds & in no time, there'll be bird droppings in his place. Told you I'm not as nice hehehe ;)

  12. Hmm, perhaps that neighbour of yours just jealous that you got the sweet and juicy mango, and he aren't got any!

Before your wifey and you really chop that tree down, why not try giving some of that sweet and juicy mangoes to that neighbour, keep his mouth busy by letting him drown in that sweetness!

  13. Hi Nick.

Sorry for the tree... that's like cutting off a part of your family in some way.

I just hope that this neigbor troubles end there.... next thing you know he'll be complaining about something else!!

People like him just go look for trouble when there isn't any and would not be satisfied until they sink their ugly teeth into one.

  14. Wah, what kind of neighbour is that? Really a pain in the ass. Don't cut the tree too much.We have lots of mango trees surrounding our house. Recently my dad got the workers to chop them because they were dying of disease. After that, we had so much problems with the afternoon sun. The living room and my bedroom happen to be on the side facing the sun and my God! The heat is intolerable. We have started to plant some new trees but it will take years to grow. You've got a healthy looking mango tree there, please don't cut it!!

  15. KM - I really don't think that would work with him. He's just someone who would only probably be satisfied if he could cut down all the trees in the world.

  16. Sharon - It is. That tree has been with me for as along as I've lived here and it does provide a nice shade for us.

You're right, I'm sure he'll have some other thing that will bug him even after cutting the tree down.

  17. BT - I know what you mean about facing the sun. That tree was so much more shadier before he moved in.

It really provides a nice shade for my bedroom and I really don't want to cut it down. I think I'll just get it trimmed, even then I'm going to be sad to loose more of my shade ... siggghhh ...

  18. yeah, just trim it; don't cut it! My neighbours are all ok. probably becoz of I don't have a mango tree in my front yard :-D

  19. Monica - The tree never bothered my previous neighbour. This guy is just a little too much la. I hope he'll be happy once I trim the tree though ...

  20. Your neanderthal neighbor strikes again! Why can't he say bluntly he wants you to move out and not bark on your mango tree.

Some people are just hard to please. But I don't think you should give up on him and let your mango tree suffer. If only it could blow fire then I wish it would blow to your neighbor's house. How mean is that? lol!

  27. Nick, your neighbor looks like a moron...
    It was a nice tree...

Man, I had problems with my neighbors in the past because of my cat... My little cute pet got poisoned by them. I've never had another pet since then!

  28. Gawd, is there anything worse than A##&@$! neighbors?? He needs to run out and get himself a life.

  30. Cidao - OHMYGOD! They poisoned your cat? I've have poisoned them in return if it happened to me. That is way over board!

I'll bet if I have a pet, my neighbour would complain about that too ...

  31. Darn silly and inconsiderate neighbour. If I were you, I'll just let the tree grow and grow. Why tolerate his nonsense?
Well, my neighbour and I, we are not on good terms, but I said nothing about her growing a stupid tree so near my fence (it's not even a mango tree or any fruit bearing tree). Your neighbour even complained to MPSJ? What a jerk!

You and your wifey are sure the most incredibly wonderful people. No doubt about it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Corrina - Well, there is and that is having two A##&@$! neighbors, one on the left and one on the right ...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Shern's mom - I'm have inclined to do just that but I'm getting fed up of him constantly reminding me. I'm just going to trim the tree and this will be the last time I do. The next time he kicks up a fuss, I'll just ignore him.

Yes, the bum actually went to MPSJ and complained la. I couldn't believe it when my mom told me their officers came over!

Oh, we can be horrible monsters if we want to ... LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Syura - I'm not all that keen to cut the tree down. I like the shade it offers me and this will be the last time I entertain his nonsense, that's for sure ...
